The first buying guide to a New Baby

Every baby is special, and every parent wants to get ready to meet their baby in all special ways they can. Getting ready with all the essentials for a new born, as well as for the mom is something that new parents plan for a long time. Making the list, doing a lot of research and buying them is an exciting process. However, it can sometimes be overwhelming when the list gets longer with multiple options, we all know how many options a single item has now a day...thanks to the online shopping experience.

I have put together the list of must haves as well as nice to haves to make your shopping exciting. Feel free to modify and use it for your baby's arrival shopping, by adding your own touch in your own special way. You can also create your baby registry using this shopping guide.

Reading to Kids

The best way to become a reader is to read more.
- Allington

It is never too late to start reading to kids, and that starts from the day you know you are pregnant. If your kids are big enough to read by them, listening to them also equally helps. Reading is another way to explore the world and the life outside you, see places where you cannot go. It also lets you imagine, and imagine beyond what humans minds can do. There is no limit to it...so I call a reader, a limitless person.

Today Nishka and I visited the book fair organised by scholastic. The best part was the story time celebrating Beverly Cleary's 100th birthday. She has this amazing picture book on ABC which is fun to read to kids, and is a different take on ABC's. Another great book was on moral science called the
Read this to your kid and they will understand about "Please", and use it often, but reminding them helps.

Nishka also checked out some books at the fair and loved LEGO FRIENDS book. Her love for LEGO has been tremendous recently. I will share more in my future post on the LEGO saga.

Reading is the best habit to keep for life

Magical Monday Morning for Moms

Working moms, please raise your hands, and hopefully you are like one of me who has this bitter sweet feeling on a Monday Morning. Let me get to the details, and you will agree even more.

Moms really don't have a weekend or time off. Its still time for chores, kids classes, cooking for friends and family, laundry day which has been waiting all week and a 100 more things waiting to be done.

No drooling please

After a crazy busy weekend, which finally came after a busy busy work week, my "Monday Morning" became an absolutely "Magical Monday Morning" . After dropping kids in school, I managed a quick trip to krispykreme, drank my coffee and devoured the doughnuts just by myself. The so called "Me" time without kids around, before work gave me this sane feeling. I was tired no more, and had a great day at work.

I love to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, be it a cup of tea, walking in the sun or just doing nothing. Make the most out of the smallest moment as they are the ones that matter the most in life.

The weeks goes by and there are positive and negative feedbacks on the post........ however something that resonates with what I feel, and a friend of mine agrees to it. I could not stop sharing "Make Yourself a Priority once in a while. Its not selfish, Its necessary!!!"
